About Knowing God Missions
Knowing God Missions (KGM) is an East African ministry network serving pastors and house churches across Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya, with a partner congregation in Canada: Potter’s Wheel Church, Gatineau.
The name Tumenyimana is Kinyarwanda for “Knowing God.”
What we do
- KGM School of Service — foundational discipleship and ministry training for pastors and servants of God, available in multiple East African languages.
- Potter’s School of Service (PSOS) — verse-by-verse studies through the book of Acts, taught weekly out of Potter’s Wheel Church and shared across the network.
- Tanzania School of Service (TSOS) — regional teaching for Tanzanian pastors in Kiswahili and English.
- House-church / Oikos planting — particularly in Rwanda following the 2024 church closures.
- Grace Scholarship Program — supporting pastors’ children with school fees.
Why this site is built this way
This hub is built for the way many pastors in East Africa actually use the internet: a small Android phone, a prepaid daily data bundle, a weak 2G or 3G signal, and sometimes Opera Mini.
- No JavaScript runs in your browser. Every page is plain HTML.
- No tracking, no analytics, no advertisements. Your data bundle is not wasted on anything other than the lesson itself.
- No external fonts or icon libraries. Your phone’s built-in font is used.
- Every lesson is kept very small when compressed.
- Every lesson has a text-only version for the slowest connections.
- The pages print well for pastors who teach from paper.
If a page does not load on your phone, that is a fault in this site. Please tell us, and we will fix it.
